I attended a live seminar, how do I submit my exam for credit?
There are three ways you can submit your exam. One, you can mail it to : TheAcademy.com
Attn: CLIA Testing Center 10223 McAllister, Suite 206 San Antonio, TX 78216. Two,
you can fax it to: 210-530-2703. Three you can take your exam online and submit
it for automatic feedback. To take your exam online, click the My Exams link.
What are Online Exams?
Online Exams are exams for live training seminars, CD/DVD, and book training. For
added convenience, we have added the option to take the exam for these items online
rather than mailing or faxing them in. There is no additional charge if you choose
to take your exam online.
What is the difference between Online Courses and Online Exams?
Online courses include the training and testing completely online. Online Exams
are free exams meant to be taken by people who have registered for live training
events, CD/DVD, or book training.
How much does it cost to register for Online Exams?
Registing for an Online Exam is free since the cost to attend the event or for the
CD/DVD or book training already covered the cost of the exam.
How do I register for an Online Exam?
Once you log in to your CLIA Academy account, click on the Exam Registration link.
What happens if I fail my Online Exam?
If you don't pass your Online Exam, it will automatically reset for you. You can
take it as many times as you need to pass.
How can I access and when can I access my Online Exam?
You can access your Online Exams by clicking the My Online Exams link. Once you
have registered for the Online Exam, you may take it when you are ready. Access
to the exams is 24/7 year round.
I need/lost my passing letter for my Online Exam.
If you click on the My Transcript link, you will find a listing of all the exams
you have taken. If you passed the exam, you can click the View link under the passing
letter column to access and print another copy of your passing letter.
Do I have to take my Exam Online or can I mail/fax it to you?
You can choose either of these options.
When I test online from a live seminar why can't I go back and look at the syllabus?
Live training courses use note taking guides. This course material is not available
online.
Why does it so long to get my test results?
Online exams are graded and emailed at the moment they are submitted to the email
address entered at registration. Faxed/mailed exams are graded and pass/fail letters
mailed in the order they are received.

Why can't I download the PowerPoint presentation slides to help me with answering
the test questions?
CLIA does not currently offer course content in print versions.
I am not a great note taker why do I have to fill in the note-taking guide? Do
you have a copy already filled in that I can use?
